Keesh's inkspiration sketch challenge #14

Well, Keesh has inspired with another wonderful sketch. I needed to finish this one, as I have my wonderful mum's 81st. birthday this week, and it was a great sketch to use. Mum loves blue wrens, so I tried to colour the bird image from Friends 24-7 to imitate that gorgeous bird. All products are S. U. - the image was coloured with the neutral pen set, then a touch of blue with the bashful blue and not quite navy inkpads. The ribbon is from the incentive ribbon bundle (certainly celery, from memory - although don't quote me, my memory is not good at the moment!!). I know that it is a little bare around the bird, but did not want to overcomplicate things with more stamping on the background.
OK - having uploaded the image, it is very dark - surprising as I used the flash. Still, apologies, and I may try again if I finish work in daylight hours. However, I know that my mum will love it, and that's the most important thing! Thanks for looking , and have a good week;) Jo

  2. Beautiful card Jo, the bird is perfect. I love that set. Just a tip for photographing cards - I like to take a picture near a window with natural light coming thru, using white cardstock as a back drop - this way you shouldn't need a flash and you will get true colours. Hope this helps you a bit.
    Great job witht he challenge.

Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog! I am very much looking forward to Maddi coming home! Poor little girl is very homesick and was on the phone crying to me last night! She only has to get through 1 more night and then she can enjoy some brisbane shopping which will put a smile on her little dial! lol
